One of my nurses today saw my BWCA.com hat and asked if I lived close to there or went to the Boundary Waters. She and her brothers go every year. I was at the U hospital.
I’m guessing you’ll find paddlers there. Just wear your BWCA.com scrubs.

...along with your “Have you seen Bungee Dealee Bob?” button. :)

If you haven't visited yet, you should check out Northwest Canoe in Lowertown. Great canoe shop. I also like Midwest Mountaineering in Minneapolis (West Bank) for gear. Great gear, knowledgeable staff, and their classes are cool too. Went to Bear Paulsen's winter camping classes last year - good value.

It has been great experience so far! I am thinking of using bungee dealee bobs as tourniquets!

Northwest canoe is a absolute gem of a shop!
I received great help and insight while repairing one of my canoes.
Fantastic help.

I just became a new employee there in ED. Would love to spend some lunch breaks talking about canoeing.

Cheers."

Congrats. I'm sure you will find many people in St. Paul who share the love for canoeing, whether they are members of this board or not.

If you're working in the ED, I bet you could improvise with Bungee Dealee Bobs. Not sure if the higher-ups would approve though...
