I'm envious. I'm in a suburb west of Chicago. I was outside last night between 11-11:30 and saw nothing. I'm guessing that there is too much light pollution here for the Geminid's to be easily visible.

Saw quite a few last night including a couple of monster tracks. Show enhanced by glow of the aurora in the northern sky. Appears that shooting stars are in front of (closer to Earth) the aurora. Watching outside of Ely.

This is what the sky looked like about 30 miles north of Brainerd.

We saw a lot at Big Bend State Park in far west Texas. Super dark sky and really clear so great viewing, but no northern lights unfortunately. :( Nice diversion while using the outdoor portable toilet.

Last night was incredible in Central Wisconsin for the meteor show. New moon, crystal clear, just beautiful! Anyone see them?

I was outside for a bit in northwest Illinois last night... Saw one INCREDIBLE meteor or shooting star or whatever they're called. I'm sure we would have seen more had we spent more time outside.

Yes!! Spent a couple of hours on our back deck. Calm, clear, dark night was ideal and the meteors were consistent and numerous. Some among the brightest I have ever seen. Northern Lights were barely visible but a great night for star gazing.
