Is he missing his left eye? Or just the angle of the photo.

quote airmorse: "He's looking right at you when you took the photo, I'd say you took a photo of ol' one eye. "
That would be cool! It looks like it from the other photos. I was taking photos fast to avoid irritating him so didn't notice at the time.
Poor bear!! At least he's able to survive!!

You know, that is an interesting question! I was going to say, "No, he had both eyes", but I checked the other photo I have of him and his eye is dull in that one as well, even though I was to his right (so would have been a different sunlight angle). I cannot say for sure.

Pine marten caught a rabbit in our camp while packing to go home on the last day. My 8 year old told me twice while camping in that site that he saw a baby bear.

Yet another eagle pic...this one features a bold raven testing its limits. We were waiting for the eagle to render the raven headless. Never happened. On the Kawishiwi last Tuesday (on the way to Polly).

A couple weeks ago, we came across a swimming bat on Fairy Lake on a sunny afternoon. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen! By the time we got close enough to it to get a pic, tho, it was crawling up on shore. I wish I could have photographed it swimming! Since I didn't get a good pic, this dragonfly pic will have to for my submission...
