It is pretty clear no entry to crocodile with a entry 64 permit. look forward to hearing about your trip duck. Happy to hear you had the lake to yourself.

lindylair and jswamp.... thanks for all of the help w/ Crocodile. We stayed at the 2nd site. When we got there at 8:30am the guys camped there were packing up and said they'd be gone by 10 and pointed to where they had been catching fish so we paddled that way and fished while they finished packing up. They left by 9:30 and we didn't see anyone else until we got back to East Bearskin on exit day.

We only traveled down to the very narrow part of the lake before you even get down to the other 2 campsites. My daughter didn't want to pull over the beaver damn there (it looks new....... was it there for you guys?) so we turned around and fished our way back to camp. All the eyes were small.

Looks like a happy young lady! no beaver dam when we were there. It looks like fish came pretty easy. Hope the trip went well. boys want to go back to croc next year, but would like for them to experience some new areas. will have to wait and see. Look forward to your trip report.

jswamp.... I know what you mean on wanting to see new areas. My younger daughter wanted her trip to be to Croc next year but I'm working on nudging her towards a different location than her sister so I can see something new. As of now she wants to do something different than what her sister did.

Hello, This topic comes up here once in a while so I thought I'd post pictures of the Superior National Forest sign that is at the East Bearskin boat launch. The sign looks very new especially compared to the ones at other bwca e.p. canoe launches. According to the sign you can not camp or even go to Crocodile with a 64 (East Bearskin) permit. You must use a 66 (Crocodile River) to go to/camp on Crocodile even if you go there from East Bearskin vs. the Crocodile River through the "vegetable" lakes. Just thought I'd post this for people planning a trip to Crocodile.

P.S. My 11 y.o. daughter and I just had Crocodile to ourselves and had a great time catching walleye.

ducks, yup that sign is brand new. Where did you camp on Croc? Did you venture up the crocodile River at all? Any size to the walleyes?

They must have gotten tired of answering all the questions on the phone about 64 vs 66 rules.
