That is one serious picnic table. Do they allow motors on those lakes?

Yes they do, it's Chugach NF. But ive never seen one on the Lakes, they are small and the 1/4 mile portage makes it difficult to get a motor in.

I just thought it would be interesting to see what ONE picture from 2016 stood out to each person. I know it isn't easy deciding on just ONE picture, that is why I asked. I flip flopped on several before I finally decided on my ONE.

I like this photo of a couple from Boulder Colorado that I took on Saganaga in early October the best.
I thought they looked interesting so I approached and asked to photograph them as I sat in my canoe.

I like how the canoe leads the eye to them and how they are looking in opposite directions surveying their surroundings. The color of their clothing and faded canoe really works in my opinion.
I had a long conversation with them and found out they've led very interesting lives. I enjoy connecting with people as much as photographing scenery these days. I sent them the photo and a few others and they used one in their Holiday letter and yearly adventure recap.

The canoe was originally a cinnamon color.

I couldn't pick just one, to many choices when you do 6 trips, 1st one is favorite sunrise on the 3rd trip on Moose lake by North Fowl, 2nd is favorite sunset on Little Sag 1st trip with Kevin L, out last night together before we split up, 3rd is favorite picture of the years, it was walking to Caribou waterfalls with freak of nature and the 4th one is my last solo trip of the year Nov 5th and 6th, I camped on Mountain 1 night.

Good point, it would be the second one Rainbow Lakes, there are actually two Lakes there, they are smaller, about an hour's paddle around both of them. They are landlocked with a 1/4 mile portage into them from my car.
I was the only one on either Lake that nite.
A shot of my campsite, complete with a bear box. This is the only one developed campsite on these two lakes.
