Support those that support this site when you can. Moose Tracks in Ely have nice cabins on waters edge and a short paddle to the BW. Good people, but often they are booked.......there is a reason for that.

Thanks all for the suggestions-

but I'm looking for a private party who would like to rent their cabin out. Not a resort.

Vosburgh's has some nice places. Not sure how they compare with others on cost.

VRBO and Airbnb are privately owned homes, rented by the owners, not resort type accommodations.

Not really a resort - have some facilities for bait/fish house/boat, but they are non-connected private homes for the most part. When I stayed with them, they would send the cleaning folks around once a day to get garbage, etc, but unless you called they stayed out of your way otherwise.

you should also post in the trip planning forum.
I would check Burntside lodge; they have cabins for rent on the edge of the BW

We stayed out at Kawishiwi Lodge on Lake One last year.

Nice place but not much solitude being a "resort" and all. But lots of easy little day trips if you're up for it.

Search VRBO, Ely MN and Airbnb, Ely MN for multiple nice options. I've bookmarked a couple I'd like to check out myself.
