I have three lightweight, high quality bent-shaft canoe paddles for sale. Two are 50" Mitchell Pacers; the third is a 52" Bending Branches Cruiser Plus. All are in very good condition. The Mitchell Pacers have seen moderate use and have some nicks, although they also have a fresh coat of varnish and don't have any cracks or significant damage. The Bending Branches paddle is almost new. All three are made of lightweight laminated woods. The blades all have polyurethane rock guards and fiberglass sheathing for strength. (Cheaper bent-shaft paddles lack fiberglass on the blades.) All three also have asymmetrical handles for comfort. In my view the Mitchell handles are a little better. These are excellent paddles for flat water canoeing. Their light weight makes them a pleasure to use. I just finished making some paddles and these have become expendable.
Please consult a canoe paddle sizing guide and note that the recommended length for bent-shaft paddles is usually a couple inches less than straight paddles. These are mid-range paddles, better than entry-level paddles but not as light (or as expensive) as graphite. Pleaes write with any questions or if you'd like to see more photos. $85 each.
