Does this fish finder have to be mounted or is it compact enough that I could sit it on my lap or on the bottom of the canoe?

I'm looking at a portable fish finder but don't know much about them. The one I was considering because of it's portablility is a Hawkeye Fishtrax 1C https://www.amazon.com/Hawkeye-Fishtrax-Finder-Virtuview-Display/dp/B016O5IDBW/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1

CLASSIC PIC!
I thought I was the only one that had that much "stuff" in the back of the canoe. LOL

I’m not interested, cause I already own one. Just wanted to let potential buyers it’s a great unit. Perfect for canoe country. Low draw and I’ve learned to rely on when it’s showing I’m on fish. If it shows marks I usually start catching fish.

New and only used on water for couple hours. I bought several different models of the low draw amp black and white fish finders that can run off a 10 pack of AA batteries. Just narrowing the field. Without the back light on it only draws 100mA continuously. You can get a full 5 days of fishing with it and not need new batteries if you use lithium batteries. I will leave the AA 10 pack holder attached. Cant find them for less than $130. Willing to sell for $95. In Duluth MN. Buyer would be responsible for shipping if needed.
