I've decided to offer up my 2015 Boundary Waters canoe in the ultralight layup . It was a Rockwood rental for 3 seasons but is in extremely good condition. I sanded it down and refinished it in 2019 and it hasn't been on the water since. No damage and no repairs. I re-varnished the seats frames and yoke while I was at it. It has new sling style portage pads on it. Rockwood stored it inside during the off-season and it's always been stored properly in my garage.
This is Wenonahs most stable 17' canoe. The bow seat is slid back nearly 12" in these models giving the bow paddler much more leg room than most canoes. Because of the seat placement, the seat acts as the front thwart (it doesn't have a front thwart) which allows you to paddle this canoe backwards as a solo if you desire. This canoe handles and paddles very well. I have a balance disorder but this canoe is so stable that I have stood up in it. The only photo's I have are the ones that Rockwood provided me back in 2018 and I can send you those if interested or I can take it down and send you updated ones showing you it refinished. It's currently located near Dallas, TX but I'll be headed to MN in early July and can bring it to MN or drop it along the way. I'm guessing it weighs right around 43-44 lbs. $1,750.00.
