Tryin: "I just want to put in a plug for the Battle Lake pack. I have one and it is bomb proof. I am sure the purchaser can get a new buckle from them for little or no cost. Made in USA." Thanks, Tryin! Yeah, it’s been a great pack. Only reason I’m selling is I upgraded to a CCS Guide for my largest pack last year. There are some convenience features I like better on the CCS (closure, bottom grab loop), but for $100, you can’t go wrong with the Battle Lake Grand Portage. It’s likely you’d be able to find a replacement buckle somewhere at Canoecopia for a few $, it’s a standard size. Also, a feature on the Battle Lake that the CCS doesn’t have is a zippered pouch on both the inside and outside of the flap. |
