If I were closer to you, I would gladly take it off your hands. The price is great, and it sounds like it's a fast boat with good handling.

Who cares about ugly? I had an '73 charger back in the day that looked like a graduate from a Mad Max movie and loved it to death.

Can you shoot me an e-mail with where you are, so I can figure travel time? May be worth a drive...

If it doesn't go, let me know. I have in-laws in Spencer Ia and live in Minneapolis. I'd like a shot at it.

I have several interested parties but no one has committed. First one to do so gets it.

Looks like hell but it's a thoroughbred. Jensen designed solo from the late 70's. Someone punched a hole in the side and did an ugly patch and then they painted it camo. Story I heard was they planned to use it as a duck boat. Not quite sure what they were thinking.

Originally the boat was quite deep, making it difficult to paddle. I removed the gunnels and cut down the sides a couple inches. Also gave it a little more tumblehome and added an adjustable footbrace. This left it with very similar lines as my Bell Magic. While it might be ugly it paddles great and is just a shade faster than my Magic. I've used it for workout paddles, relaxing jaunts around the lake, and fishing on the river with my dog. If I didn't already have lots of other nice solos I wouldn't think twice about tripping with it.

16' long with no rocker so the Prism would be a good comparable. Weighs in right at 50lbs. You just need to learn to embrace the ugly and confidently smile to yourself when other people snicker at it not knowing the swan that lies under that ugly ducking exterior.

$250 and I can deliver it to Minneapolis or anywhere en-route (from NW Iowa) this Saturday. Otherwise you can pick it up whenever you want.
