I had the same idea a few years back, there sure are a lot of boats for sale in MY
I guess there's a lot of cool places to paddle but storing a boat when you live in a shoe box or a crime infested area isn't easy.
good luck, at least the price of gas is low, when I wanted to do it gas was well over 3 bucks a gallon.

I have a buddy that works at Northstar canoes and is going out there in the near future for a demo for his company and is hauling canoes back and forth on a trailer. I will ask him if he wants to make a few bucks hauling your canoe

I am looking at a few boats in the NY area and wondering if there is anyone making the trip in the near future?
I know there are a few transporters on here, I couldn't find them in the search.

I just found my boat locally so I no longer have the need. Ice Cold still does.
Thought, I may keep looking if there is a solution to getting one here in MN!!!!!

We will be in DC over memorial weekend. That is sort of close to NY. Kind of. Anyhow, they are both east of WI.
