I will be headed up to the northwoods of Wisconsin for grouse hunting in October. Could bring the canoe up with me if someone is interested.

Still open to offers.

Wish you'd hurry up and sell it Eric, it's driving me nuts looking at another boat I'd like to have (LOL)!

That is about right. It can sure hold a lot of stuff and still paddle along. As cowdoc says, mine is the Expedition Kevlar so it weighs more than Jackfish's.

For anyone who's thinking about it... this is a great buy. I wouldn't know Drab if he was sitting next to me so I have no skin in this game, but I've owned a Mad River Lamoille since 2003 and love it. It's even the same color green. Great for fishing (very stable), it's sleek and good gliding with it's 18'4" hull and lightweight (mine is 50# - might want to double check that weight, Drab). Depending on the model, the Lamoilles came with a sliding bow seat and integral skid plates. Drab may want to confirm.

The Lamoille hasn't been made since Mad River went middle-of-the-road with all their boats. There may be other reasons, too.

If the canoe is in as good shape as it looks, $1000 for an excellent canoe is a good price.

Exp. Kevlars listed at 58#, Kev Lites listed at 50#.....as per the 2001 catalog. The kev lites should have colored inner sidewalls (green in this case)

I have a 1998 model Mad River Lamoille that I purchased new in 2012 (It had sat on the rack at a dealer in Florida all of that time) I used it one week each in 2012, 2013, and 2014 in the BWCA. Other than that it has been hanging from the rafters in my friend's shed. We have used it as a canoe with three people (one duffing) and I was keeping it for years that we have odd numbers going. But now it looks like the odd man out will use a solo canoe, and so I am not sure when it will be used again by me.

It's size and carrying capacity make it a great family boat. It is 18'4" and weigh (I think) about 59lbs. It is in the, very strong, Kevlar Expedition Layup.

I will have to get it down from the rafters to get pictures of it's current condition. The aluminum gunnels are scratched, and there are probably some scratches in the gel coat, but, as I recall, there are not structural issues. It has had a full length keel-eze strip on it since new.

For now these pictures will have to suffice

I am asking $1,000 (Or if you want to negotiate a lot I am asking $1,100)

I live in Southern Illinois, near St. Louis. Have not yet decided when I will make another trip up north.

You and me both. I think I live in the wrong place, and towards the end of summer is the wrong time. Maybe my price is too high. Or all of the above. Soon it goes back in the shed and I will try again next year.
