I love fishing Minnesota...too bad I can't talk my wife into moving there!! I keep hinting about retiring in the Ely area but the chances of me getting her to move further North (we live in Michigan) are slightly below 0%.
Oh wells...she has agreed that a few 2-3 week long vacations in June (Ely area) and end of February (Lake of the Woods) don't sound all that bad. I guess I got that going for me!!

Great stats Pinetree! I'd be interested in how many females of the 35% above are on a combined license with their spouse vs individually licensed. My wife is on a combined license with me, but she only 'fishes' occasionally (maybe 10% of what I do) and only if she happens to join me on the boat and I provide full service guiding, including rigging, baiting, and fish handling.
