I like the Fireline tracer for the BWCA. 10lb

I like white braid. My thinking is the line is nearly always above the fish; the white line blends in with the sky background better than a dark color. It probably does not matter much.

We used to use green line on Washington state off the coast and the lakes of that area, the lakes themselves were rather "green" and the line disappeared in it. The trout were easily put off by an unnatural presentation like visible line. I miss fishing with 2lb test! Lol. Haven't used it since the 90s. I've used clear flurocarbon since then.

I avoid any "here I am" lines. Fluorescent is particularly troublesome. I like green in the dark waters and clear in clear lakes.

i use a green braid line. I rigged my wife's rod with yellow braid. She still catches more fish than me. That may be because I reel in when she catches a fish and help her land it.

This topic has been brought up numerous times. We use Armour Tough Camoline by Trik Fish. It dissapears in the water and is very tough, not sure it's zero stretch but I'd say it is. It's really nice to that you can go from stained water to clear seamlessly and not change spools. Also my baitcaster for pike/Muskie we only use 12/14lb test. Stuff is just amazing, I have to order it from Florida.
I like Fireline but it's pretty expensive and fishing it in clear water dosent work very well.
