If "we" is a legally recognized couple, as defined by Minnesota law, then the 14 day couple license. If "we" is you and another adult, not a legal couple, then both of you should buy the 7 day individual license.

can anyone tell me what fishing license i need? i looked at the DNR site but there are so many options i'm not sure where to begin. we want to be able to fish from June 18 to June 23rd going in EP 14 if that matters.

Scroll down to the Non Resident section, hover over the license you think you want and a dropdown box will appear defining that particular license. If you're married then the 14 day couple is the better deal than 2-7 Day individual licenses. Buy 'em here and you'll save yourself $ the DNR charges for buying online.
