Thanks for all the great help on this site I finished my depth finder setup 2 days before my trip into Ogish!

Here are a few photos...

I took two eagle clamp on rod holders apart, used the top part as the rod holder bolted to the board and the bottom half as a gunnel clamp for the canoe. Velcro under the board holds a 10 pack of AA batteries and eye hooks on the front and back for holding the lake map and extra wires. I took much of the idea from another post on this website I found a few months back but now can't find it...so whoever was the originator of the idea thank you!

So fishing Ogish in July... I've got a few spots picked out for bass, walleye and Lakers. For walleye, plan on trolling the shelves and drop-offs with worm harnesses and crankbaits in 15-25 ft. Bobber fishing and jigging with leeches if we can localize them. For lakers, I'm bring 1 oz and 2 oz weights, 3-way swivels to connect to small lil cleos, mepps or rapalas. Plan on starting in the deep basins at 45 ft and working deeper till they reveal themselves.

Anyway, here's my plan, but as they say, "no battle plan ever survives the first encounter..."

Comments are appreciated :)
