Looking for walleye help in these lakes. We'll be up there between August 12-20. Plan on hitting both - so any lure or location help will be much appreciated!

I went in June of last year so it might be a little different compared to what I experienced, but we hit up the shoreline for bass, and the middle of the lake between the islands on south for walleye. On the long bay/river headed towards Brule, I caught a big walleye and it looked like there were probably more there too.
Check the maps for depth charts and fish the usual spots. Drop offs, rock piles, sunken reefs/islands, deep spots. Just keep looking until you find them then drop in a hook or jig. Leeches worked for us. Twilight was our prime time fishing. We did have one great spot where we could reliably catch them, but a fisherman doesn't share all his spots. Just know that there are fish, you just need to find them. Our spot probably wouldn't work this late in the year anyways.
