We did it the June that was just before the Pagami Fire. Fishing was generally slow for us, but one night we caught 15 one to one and a half pound walleyes below one of the rapids. This is the average walleye size in this system. Bass seemed to be on the small side also. Our furthest point in was Gull Lake near Pietro. Glad I got to see it before it was torched about six weeks later. So you might try below all the rapids and any place where current meets slack water. The abundance of water this year might provide some interesting fishing.

I am going to try the Kawishiwi River from the Kawishiwi Resort. I read prior posts, but it is not clear if they are talking about bass, walleye or both. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
The advice I got last year about how long it would take to get to Lake Three and how the fishing was in Lake One (not good) was right on. Thanks.
