I know, not truly in the BW but this where we ended up picking for a family fishing trip. We'll be there next week (early Sept) and are wondering if anyone has tips or things to try. We don't often fish up there this time of year so that will be new. Live bait for walleye? Crawlers, minnows, etc? Thanks!

Thanks, I'm always looking for current. Are leeches still available or should we be switching to crawlers and plastics?

Deep and current (any subtle current). Leeches if you can get them (jumbo) -- otherwise Crawlers broken in half.

Ring rock is about half way down the lake, where it narrows. It's a large cliff on the east shoreline with a large iron ring attached to it, it was used back in the logging days.

What's ring rock if I might ask? I suppose we could ask the people we're renting from too.

Go WAY to the back of the bay to the West of Garden Lake resort and drag light jigs with minnows North to South back and forth, SLOWLY. The bottom is all mud with the occasional old log so if you fee anything at all set the hook. They love to sit right where the mud meets rock within a boat length of the North and South shorelines. You'll get all you want for dinner, but no big ones.
