What type of bobber stops do you all use. I’ve always used the yarn type but find them hard to move up and down the line.

I use Dacron or fly backing line or unwaxed dental floss or even heavier test monofilament. They all work fine.

I use the dogbone bobber stops, too. They work well and hold their place on my line. I've tried other methods, but always come back to the dogbone stops.

Dogbone bobber stops or a little bit of dacron in a uni-knot over the mono.

I just take a piece of mono line and tie granny knots until the knot is too big to go through the hole. Then I trim off the excess line from both sides of the knot. You can tie at the length you first want and move it up and down afterwards with ease and it stays put pretty well. The price is right and always works well for me.

I do not like the colored thread kind as I find they tend to slide up and down the line. I like the little rubber stops. You just have to make sure that it's the right size for the line. It will say on the package. I won't use the colored thread kind.

Interesting. I also don’t like how the thread kind move, especially during the fight getting hung on the rod tip but I’ve always just dealt with it as the rubber ones didn’t work for me. They would get caught on my line roller and I couldn’t reel past the spool.

Do you have a brand you like?
