Every entry has lakes that will have what you are looking for.

Maybe one question that would help zero in on an area is your experience level with wilderness camping. Have you done alot of wilderness camping and canoeing? Will this be your first time in a while paddling a canoe-what about the others in the trip? Is good fishing or solitude the main reason for the trip? Do you have an outfitter in mind to use? Do you want to go in through Ely or off the Gunflint or Sawbill trail-does it matter? Give us alittle more information or start by selecting an outfitter and go from there. Good luck, but try to act quickly so you can get a permit.

I have been to the boundary waters once before but I forgot where I went. I am going on a trip with my uncle and his three boys. He has never been up there. I want to find a few lakes that we can nail the bass and walleye. They like to fish walleye and I like the bass. What is some good lakes that we could fish at for either and what is the best thing to use? We are going in early may and we do not care about how long the portages are. We just want to catch a lot of fish. I want to make it fun for my cousins. Any suggestions?
