I recently purchased the above mentioned fish finder, and besides reading the owners manual, I have little experience using it.

Has anyone used this model before?
Is it worth bringing it to the BWCA?
What do Walleye look like on the screen?

The screen gives off what looks like Small, Medium, and Large fish images.
I'm assuming that Small = Panfish, Medium = Bass/Walleye, and Large = Northern?

I don't have the water temperature attachment for this model, only the transducer.

Thanks in advance for any and all information!!!

You should be able to turn off the fish alarms and symbols and just go with the raw data. Temp sensors are on the sonar transducer.

Best thing you can do is take it out and get the transducer wet and play around with it. Getting a feel for the proper sensitivity level to read the bottom is probably more important than looking for fish symbols.
