Scientists warn Ely could become an island. Read about it Here It’s a good thing there are plenty of canoes in the area.

Just exited Quetico through the bwca (Mudro) and spent last night in Ely. No flooding. They did get a few days of mixed misty and rainy conditions, but nothing too crazy.

I believe there was some flooding in Duluth and Superior, but not in Ely. Saw a video of Gooseberry Falls that was pretty impressive.

The Minnesota Ely is already an Island, totally surrounded by water so this is no big surprise!! :)
