Making my first Quetico trip next early June . Always planning... Can't wait to get back. I'm stictly a basecamp fishermen.
It's all about the fish. I just can't decide. Thoughts from you......

Can't really go wrong with either of those choices. I prefer Saganagons, but I couldn't really make a compelling argument re: it being "better."

What do you primarily fish for as far as species is concern?

Smallmouth with a chance to break 20".... caught 5 at 20" this June.
Walleye for the eating. Maybe a laker if i tire of casting...not likely? Been to Crooked the last two June trips...looking to go to some new country and try Quetico I heard it's pretty good ^)
I was hoping I'd hear from you.
My research from this site has me at these two options.

If you are primarily looking for smallmouth then I would suggest Basswood. Both lakes are pretty close when it comes to walleye but would probably lean more towards Sag.
