On a mid-winter ice-fishing trip, one of my friends said, "Hey make sure to bring those white shads with you when we go back to Canada this year." QMike strikes again. |

Considering that just this last weekend I caught a pike, a crappie and a walleye all on a 1" trout spoon I think that perhaps the fish aren't quite as particular as the tackle retailers would have you believe. |

quote Xand: "I got a pack of these in the blue glimmer pearl belly color. I'm not sure why they're "redfish magic" but they look the same as the other zulus so I'm hoping they'll do the trick. The redfish magic lures are 6 inches long versus the standard 5 inches for the other lures. They should work all of the same. |

Since im usually making a trip to fleet farm in preparation for my trip, I have been useing kalins split tail shad jerk bait (widely stocked), which was successful and esentially the same shape and action. From my understanding the only difference is that the real deal zulus are made of a much more durable plastic that will last longer. My choice is mainly out of convenience. As you said they are available at piragis in ely. I found myself killing time in ely on my last trip and saw the pictures of your smb along with the zulus for sale. I didn't buy them because I already had the kalins packed. I hope to try the zulus later and compare. |

Don't buy them directly from ZMAN fishing.com, they charge too much for shipping. Buy them from either BassPro.com or Tacklewarehouse.com. I will provide links below.....
