That is a pretty sweet hang, but I think every pic of your setup I've seen has been under that fallen tree!
-Third rec. on the dutch bling. Flys and zing-it are the compact/strong/lightweight/workable option for tarp ridge lines. 2-3mm reflective cord on the guy-outs.

I didn't get any cord when I bought my CCS tarp? I can't remember how long ago I did buy that tarp. I do know one thing, it is the best tarp I have ever owned!

I've been using paracord for a few years, but hate how it twists and tangles itself just by looking at it.
So, the CCS stuff seems like a good upgrade. But... 8 bucks for the cord and $18 more to ship it. Any stores carry CCS goods? (I see Piragis' online store just has the reflective rope.)

I do spend some for tent guy line and like the Glow in the Dark Tent GuyLine, Caving Cord / Rope. Helps keep me from hurting my face more.

Zing it is a great product, only 1.7mm and 400lbs breaking strength. Slick, so its very hard to tangle, but doesn't take knots particularly well. Learning to splice hollow braided ropes is fun and you can create a lot of cool stuff.
Dutchware.com has Zing-it, and a a Zing-it knock off that has a reflective tracer. Dutchware also has Fleaz or Slide Locks that work great for tensioning the lines.

An old curmudgeon here, but the term is cordage.
I like the feel and handling of 1/8 inch/3mm polyester cordage. not too bulky easy enough to handle with cold old hands, little stretch, strong enough for heavy winds and loads. CCS supplies it with tarps and it is common across many suppliers. Para-cord in similar diameters is often used but I prefer the wound/braided cordage as easier to use.

I take it you didn't buy a CCS tarp because Dan's tarp come with 80 feet of yellow cord which works great, very little stretch, doesn't seem to absorb much water and the knots I tie seem to come out easily when it's time to put it away. My 1.1 ounce 10 x 12 stuffs in a 5 liter waterproof stuff sack.
As I understand it, paracord has too much stretch or I'm sure Dan would suggest it. Hope you like your new tarp. I would never go north without a good tarp. FRED

Yep, I would get three 80' hanks of Dan's CCS cordage and put 20' on each corner. Then I would create a continuous ridgeline out of 40' of cordage. Finally I would divide the remaining into 20' hanks and store in my cordage bag.

Midwest Mountaineering keeps plenty of CCS cordage in stock. Non reflective is only $8 for 80'. I find all kinds of uses for the stuff and always keep some extra around.
