I will say in the lower price range of tents, the Lynx series has held up well, goes up EZ, and keeps you dry. Not near as well made as the better tents, but good buy.

I have 3 Lynx, a 1, a 2, and a 4. I love the 2 and the 4. I hate the 1, not because of the tent, I just can't stand to be in something that small, not even sure why I bought that.

I don't know your budget and don't have direct experience with either tent you listed, but many people on here have used and been happy with the Kelty Gunnison and many have been very happy with the Marmot Limelight, which I think is not much different than the Tungsten. I think either would be satisfactory for your use. There are a lot of good tents out there for 3-season use, but there are no perfect tents.

+1 I’ve owned many tents. Tough to beat for living space to weight ratio. Foot print is workable but, a little large for some smaller Quetico campsites. A 3p is a nicer size for small campsites.

Another vote for the Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL3 and UL4 tents.
I use the UL3 on trips with 2 adults and switch to the UL4 for trips with my young sons. Pricey but worth the investment. Finding online sales with 20-25% off MSRP is pretty easy.

+5 on the BA Copper Spur UL4. I love this tent. I would recommend an interior ground sheet when taking the dog. Not that I have had a failure with mine, but to play it safe.

So much room and height for a tent this light. Great storage inside, it just works for me and my family of 4.

+6 on the BA Copper Spur. Wait for a 25% of sale. It's waterproof, easy to set up, but best of all - light weight.

Well. I ended up going with marmot tungsten 4 (footprint included). I set it up in my basement and it is pretty nice and fairly compact/light. The dual vestibules are huge! The only concerns I have is where the rain fly meets the end of the cross bars. I see it as a wear point, but i guess time will tell.

Another vote for the Big Agnes Copper Spur models of tents. I have a UL 2 and UL 3. Great tents and light weight.

Good evening everyone. I've been digging into getting a new tent for canoeing and camping trips. It would be primarily for 2 people and a dog canoeing, or 2 people and 2 younger daughters camping. I have my eyes set on these tents, and i am looking for feedback or other suggestions if you have some. Thanks in advance.
Marmot Tungsten 4
Kelty Gunnison 4
