I have one made by Duluth Pack for kitchen utensils that I tie around a tree near the kitchen area.


With a Leatherman Surge on my belt I have all the tools covered. It has about 40 tool bits and a pliers with a wire cutter for hooks,tiny saw, scissors, file, etc.


What tools specifically are you talking about?

I was thinking about pretty much all the little odds and ends I bring on every trip. Things like..
Kitchen utensils
Lighters
Folding saw
Heavy knife for battoning
Water filter stuff
Shower stuff
Flashlights/headlamp
Cordage
Extra stakes
MP3 player
Space blanket
Etc.


Some tool rolls have all similar sized pockets that look like they're mostly set up for a row of open end wrenches. Others, though, have various sized pockets and pouches that would hold a variety of items.


Right now, I use a number of stuff sacks. I just wonder if it'd be more convenient to have fewer stuff sacks and one tool roll.

I have a CCS utensil roll which gets used for utensils. A tool roll sounds intriguing for keeping other small things in one spot.... Similar to how I use labeled kitty litter buckets.

I usually trip with one other guy. We have a 99 cent Menards or Home Depot cloth nail apron that we tie around a tree all of your silverware and easy access utensils stay in your pocket of the apron, minimum weight and works great, but I don't think we take the amount of things that you seem to

No. But it will help organize stuff. I use a roll for my kitchen utensils, forks, spoons, etc. I hang it near where I am cooking and it keeps utensils off the ground.

We use a kitchen tool roll that my wife made us 30 years ago. Similar to commercial ones but made before their time I think. I keep repair and back up fire related items separate in a large zip lock. Multi pliers, cordage, fire starter, etc. Both collections go in the kitchen pack as does the first aid kit (on top) and the CCS tarp.

I forgot to add that the HD unit you linked to looks like it would work but may be bigger, bulkier than needed.
