Web or cane. I have found cane to be nice, but often needs replacing every few years. Web seats have been more durable, at least for me. JG

web or cane here too. Especially for kneeling and of course for a crazy creek chair at times. Tractor seats don't fit me right.

I lean cane/web over tractor but haven't used a padded seat cover. How about if you had to pick cane/web vs. unpadded tractor?

Tractor seats.
I LOVE the Wenonah Bucket Seat Backband!

--Did I pay $65 for it??? That seems a little steep for my prodigious cheapness...

Either way, I'm glad to have it. That thing is AMAZING with a tractor seat. Easily adjustable, solid, and comfortable! I wouldn't have a tractor seat without one. Those seats are so low, I NEED a backrest to lean back on.

Tractor seat? No... Web works best for me. Cane doesn't hold up as well, but can be nice. The molded plastic one I took out of my old town was OK but heavy.

I was going say this exact thing.

Killing the ongoing quote....

Also, I like cane. Both of my boats have curved cane seats.

Can't sit in ANY seat more than about 15 minutes. But I kneel with my backside on a seat. I've found that the lace seats from Novacraft are the most comfortable for me. If you don't have a Novacraft, you can order them and with the favorable exchange rates, they're about $50 with shipping. Well worth it IMHO? Here's one I installed in my Morningstar:

Webbed seats by a mile. Airflow, not hot in the summer, they give when you move and allow you to adjust how you sit.

What to you like better - curved web seats or tractor style seats?

Tractor. I like the little extra support.

Cane seats are my preference, after that webbed.

We have both types of seats in our canoes. In our Souris River Quetico we have webbed bench seats which we use Crazy Creek chair seats with and in the Wenonah Spirit II we have tractor seats with gel pad seats. As for preference we like both of them and have really not had any problems with either of them.

Web or cane is what I like. With a tractor seat, I need a gel pad.

Ditto for me, sit and switcher. Wenonah seat covers are nice, but I've made my own too.
