I've shot my transducer for my Stryker 4 through the hull of my Northstar 17. For several reasons I just don't like it.

I came across, on this messageboard, this magnetic transducer mount. I searched (yes I searched) the posts/threads and have seen people use it-or mention it, but haven't been able to find a review on how well it works through a Kevlar hull. Has anyone used on of these and if so how do you like it? Would love to hear thoughts... MAGNETIC TRANSDUCER MOUNT

Do you drill into your canoe? I know the anxiety I get going over rocks--I'm guessing I may go over the edge if I drilled into my boat :) LOL

Thanks for posting this. I have not seen this. The magnetic mount would work great on my Old Town fishing kayak. I could run the cable up through one of my Scupper holes.

I've used a suction cup and it was good but just attaching an arm to my fishing thwart seems best for me.
No holes. Everything clamps on in the parking lot of the EP and stays on until the trip is done. Just flip the tranducer up when desired.

The first photo shows the arm attachment for the tranducer. The other photos I was using a suction cup.
