Information sharing sparks innovation. I introduced this product for those who may not have seen it before and may want to apply the concepts in part or hole for their personal application.
Simplicity is important to me and I often tailor my equipment for a specific task. This limits versatility but often produces a simple, clean, and functional product.

You sure can. Thermarest ridgerest is a favorite because it’s lightweight and affordable. It’s also bulky. But yes, pads can be used. They can slip around a bit depending on material and friction. They won’t be sufficient for most folks when temps drop. I think I’ve heard the saying, “less than sixty, need a pad. Less than fifty, need an underquilt.” That’s very person-dependent. Less than 70, I need an underquilt. :)

Is the appeal of this system that "it's all in one piece"?
Maybe someone wants to "buy one thing" and be set, like a fishing pole with rod, reel, and line.
My thoughts went right to:
netting
colder temp flexibility?
weight (although I acknowledged the combination system vs weight of my UQ, TQ and hammock with straps)
What I regard as simplicity and flexibility of a "component system" (what I use, year-round), could be "complexity and hassle" from another's perspective.

I have one hammock I can adapt to every season as I'm sure most people do. This hammock limits your options. No tarp. No bug protection. Definitely would like to hear more from an objective third party than a company promo.
As for being revolutionary, it's like Che Guevara before his prime - handsome, appealing to the young and inexperienced, and short-lived. I never make misteaks about these things.

....add bug netting, tarp, climbing carabiners and reinforced straps, 1 lb quilt....now you have a good system...and lose about 2-3 lbs off the hammock design :)

As with Superior Gear, these hammocks are designed for seasonal use when bugs are a non-issue. Underquilts could be added for colder temps but as mentioned, an integrated top quilt is limiting if there’s not adequate room to zip over top of more layers. I think most hammock campers would agree that getting away from a zipped bag is part of the appeal, I know I do. Choosing 650 fill feels a bit strange these days when marketing to backpackers but if the system works to 20 degrees the price point is budget friendly. As Superior hammocks and winter camping continue to get more popular we should expect to see more iterations on this concept.

That hammock system is too heavy for my taste. They should be going with at least 850 down fill. Also, I cannot understand the benefit of combining the quilts and the hammock into a single system, as it takes away the modularity of the hammock system, which is a huge benefit. I have one Dutchware Chameleon hammock and I can marry different temperature rated top quilts and bottom quilts to that one hammock. This allows me to mix and match depending on the time of year that I'm tripping. It seems that you lose that flexibility with these systems.

You make several good points. I'm sure the presenter in the video didn't want to clutter the presentation with extra gear. In this way, one can see the advantages of a hammock with a zip bag inside. Thanks for sharing this.
