Yes, any skillet...particularly one that is light, compact, less cost than the $45 one from jetboil...and works well.

Is there something special about the Jetboil Flash that doesn't allow you to use any skillet? I thought the top part unscrewed leaving a flat surface exposing the burner? (serious question).

My dad brought a brand new Flash last year on our weeklong trip, it failed the first day and my Pocket Rocket 2 saved the whole trip, like a champ. Other than that, know nothing about Jetboil stoves.

Either way, looking at the design I would think any 8" compact skillet would work.
I have a GSI Pinnacle 8" which is $35, and REI has their stainless 8" model on sale right now for $26. I would think both could be stable enough? Maybe check out an army surplus store if you have one near you, they might have something that would work.

My only complaint with the uber cheap cookware for camping is the same complaint I have with uber cheap cookware for the home. They work ok for the first few meals then after that no matter how much you butter the thing or oil it, all food sticks to it, and they heat really unevenly.

I would look at something like a 6" anodized aluminum deep dish pizza pan for your setup. Should be sub $10 from a restaurant supply place.

For what it’s worth the non-stick coating on the Jet Boil pan is impressive. I bought one last year after watching a friend use one on our trip. I like to make fry bread with mine. I’ve found that I can just dump the wet sticky batter in the pan and fry with no oil at all. When the bread is done it just slides out and there isn’t really anything left to clean. It was expensive but it’s worth it to me.
Having said all that, if there’s something better and cheaper I’d like to hear about it.

Doesn't sound like quite like what you're looking for, but if I was in that position I would grab a fry bake alpine pan (assuming I didn't already have one). Price is about the same as the jetboil you mentioned but then you would have a much more versatile piece of kit for other applications as well, especially if you get a lid with it.

Does anyone have options they like for a small-compact skillet to be used with a jet boil flash? I know jet boil makes one...but $45-$50 seems a bit much to toast a few bagels or warm up oatmeal.
