I've owned CCS gear from as far back as the 80's. Great equipment made by a great guy.

Thanks for the memories, Dan.

Great show. Dan's a highly skilled craftsman and this video shows it. I love my Pioneer pack.

Enjoyed that! It's a fact that when you're out there in the wilds with CCS equipment you really begin to appreciate the forethought and skill that went into the product. CCS is ahead of the pack, babe.

Yes, that is a key I think - actually using it yourself. Loved the throwback pics too, lol!

Very cool. Congratulations again.

I have had the opportunity to see what Dan does at his regular job in person and Dan succeeds at that as well with some pretty complicated inspection machines.

I have never met Dan, hope to some day, but I have a Pioneer, rucksack, thwart bag/map case, and a 10x12 1.1 tundra tarp with the ridgeline stuff sack. I have no qualms at all having 90% of my gear made by CCS. Great stuff!
Congrats on the episode!

How cool is that? I am not sure what I imagined Dan, but it was neat to see the real place your amazing gear is made. Thanks for sharing your workspace with us!

She used the Viper with the bend in the wrong direction. Ouch. Nice looking paddle, though. Loved the Rapala episode, too.

Congratulations, Dan. We're looking forward to seeing the story. I'm glad it'll be online because, even though we have a few TVs in the house, they're seldom turned on.

Having been to the CCS World Headquarters in Lino Lakes, it'll be fun to hear how you and company are presented.

"Locally sewn. Globally tested." Gotta love it.

Bill Sherck had a spot on Ron Schara's show about Quetico this past Sunday evening. Bill found his love for paddling and the BWCA when he was in the Boy Scouts out of Duluth. This next Saturday, he has a show where he looks at CCS and how it is made. I have seen a pre-release and if you want to see it, you will have to find your local cable for the show.

Air Date is July 30th on Fox Sports North and Fox Sports Wisconsin.

Made for the Outdoors website

On their website is a video on Bending Branches how paddles are made.

I saw that as well. That bass looked like it swallowed a softball. Can't wait to catch this Sunday's episode.
