Without getting into a long story, I lost my drivers license around Xmas. I say lost because when I went into my wallet to ID a credit card, it was not there. I seldom have to show it and I ended up going thru all my clothes and stuff looking for it. I gave up a few weeks ago and got a new one. So, as it's the time of year when I start pulling things together for a spring BW trip, the grub box got cleaned out with a few surprises--weevil's!!!! and then on to the boat bag. I dumped that out to sort and clean it up and what do I find in a zip lock along with my permit and fishing license??? My drivers license that was in there since last September.
The point of this post is - What's In Your Boat/Day Bag? Why did I have two SAK's along with the folder and sheath knife? I counted 40+ bits of bic lighters, sunscreen, first aid stuff, maps, left over lunch cheese, camera tripod and self-stick tape, and bug net. Thinking back I don't think I used or need half of this clutter!

At least you have a piece of mind on where the old one went. I lost my billfold with everything in it while rabbit hunting in the 70's. Still wonder what happened to it!

"Thinking back I don't think I used or need half of this clutter! " I've been whittling mine down a little bit every year. It does make a difference ;).

I've been consolidating a lot since my last WCPP trip. I want to go so bad again just to see how I did. :) I'm hoping to go smaller stuff bags. Just getting rid of the utensil roll helped a lot. I'd never go stove or panless. But I am cutting back more than I thought I would.

I try to leave a Snickers bar in the pocket of my blaze orange every deer season. It is a nice treat when I pull the stuff out the next year.

I feel better. I am not the only one that routinely misplaces things as I age. Glad you found it.
