I'm too lazy to find a link, but I did purchase a VERY tiny hard plastic cutting board from walmart expressly for use as a stove base (optimus nova setup).

not very high tech, but weight (and price) is negligible and its multi purpose

I don't have a can stove, but if I did I would use that clothespin setup for sure!

The Trillium also is a good replacement for the bottom reflector, use it and the windscreen, save fuel.

I do the same thing with my MSR Windpro. Use it for extra stability and a bottom heat reflector.

Been playing around with it and this was one of my first awe ha's... I may even try the msr heat exchanger. Anything fuel savings can help.

It will even fit old style Whisperlite Internationals (since they were based on the same footprint as the Whisperlite ... the only difference was a beefed-up generator tube).

I don't remember which stove I took on our September B-chain trip since I have everything (stoves & bases) listed above. Do you remember? It might have even been some variant of a Coleman Peak 1.

Nice shot of the Firefly. I see you replace the braided fuel line with something newer. Do you have the pan shaped wind screen that was with the original? How about the fuel pump? I don't remember any of MSR's other stoves having a fuel pump in yellow plastic ... kind of unique.

Thanks DD,

Old non shaker jet Whisperlite, same fuel line replacement I did on the Firefly, Oteker double ear clamps, fuel proof line covered in high temp fiberglass sheath.

Burning with a 4 row midicap, the hottest stove I have used yet simmers nicely.
Even with the cap on it will boil 32 oz. in 4 minutes, (60 degrees to 212, air temp 40F). I have the bowl windscreen but neither white or yellow pumps. It's not a shelf queen so it's used with a new style Duralite pump.

The original configuration of MSR's FireFly stove looked a bit more like this one. I have a yellow pump around somewhere, but I must have put it away for safekeeping.

That is exactly what we use. Works very well and weighs next to nothing. We use a seperate aluminum wind screen and really like the setup.

I have this same canister stand and agree it works well. Plus it folds up nicely and fits in my GSI Dualist pot along with my stove and a few other things.

What Frenchy said. I bought one a few years ago but haven't used it because in my mind my Dragonfly works without it and the base is added weight. Again, I may try it this year......

Anyone use the msr trillium or whatever it's called? I scored a new dragonfly and the base for a great price. Just seems to make that stove so much more stable. I wish a cannister would attach to make the pocket rocket more stable.

I like the way the stove attaches to it. Not real heavy...

I bought a Trillium stove base with my Dragonfly stove. I really like it for giving the stove some more stability. I cook with the outback oven and the base keeps everything together by holding the legs. You will not be sorry for purchasing this.

HJim is wrong on a few there (not a regular occurrence at all). The odd shaped holes are for the Dragonfly.

Have tried to fit the new International and Universal and the feet do not match up with any holes or slots (too long-didn't want to bend Andy's stove??).

Simmerlite, WindPro1&2.

Rapidfire, Whisperlites.

XGK series. Not the new XGK EX.

I found a canister base at campmor I think for like six bucks. I was ordering something else and found that. Looks pretty light.

Ben, the windscreen in the photos works very well with the PocketRocket setup! Campmor Amazon found in different sizes from many sellers.
