Depending on location it could be anywhere from the 2nd week of July to the first week of August.

Late June. But, i wouldn't count on seeing ripe ones by then. Usually mid July - mid August is prime time.

You will need to hope for a warmer than average season with adequate rain to get a bumper crop. By the 10th, we have had some success, Early picking for us tends to be on slopes facing westerly.

Used to find them all of the time when I went on Fourth of July trips.

Tripped early to mid-July on Gunflint side last 3 years, never had trouble finding them.
