Allagash on my bucket list, but after returning to BW ten years ago, it fell down the list. We did do a short trip down Saranak river years ago. I remember camping 2 days near rapids and catching some big redeyes war mouths . Big ones for a rock bass. It was more of a float trip with a couple dams and easy rapids to portage. Didn't feel as remote as we had heard Allagash was . There may be stretches of that river that are long. We went maybe 20-30 miles and took our time
