First time to the BWCA with my wife and another couple. We are putting in early Friday morning and have to out by around 10a on Monday morning. Any trip/route/camp suggestions? I would like to do a good amount of fishing, walleye preferably.

Head north to Fourtown, west to Boot and north to Fairy Lake. Two campsites on the lake, both are good but the eastern one is an amazing site. I doubt that they are both taken very often. Fairy is a super cool little lake. It offers good multi species fishing including walleye and panfish. Boot Lake to the South is a "sleeper" walleye lake with lunker potential. Gun is a good fishing lake too, for all species. If you take the portage from Fairy to Gun you will notice at the north end of the portage how much clearer the water is in gun - gin clear.

Spend two nights on Fairy and then head back to Fourtown for your final night. That will allow for an early exit on your final day. Love this area. Good Luck.
