They are remote and internet connection is spotty at best. I have no reservation about giving them my business. My wife and I plan to stay there this summer. It’s a very economical way to see the North Shore. Having met them, they are good people.
Their remote location is a plus in our estimation and says nothing about their approach to doing business. There is no cell service at their location, another plus if you don’t want people calling you on vacation.

Who would want to visit a place with "Voracious, Hippos (who are), ANGRY!)"?
Have a great trip and enjoy the stay! Perseverance pays off.

Kiporby just stayed there about 2 weeks ago. I think it was a spur of the moment trip up the Gunflint. See if he chimes in on contact info.

butthead: "Who would want to visit a place with "Voracious, Hippos (who are), ANGRY!)"?" I was waiting for an opening. No hostile hostel for me. Things might end up like in that movie.

He’s looking for a hungry, hostile hippie. “He’s an old hungry, hostile hippie and he don’t know what to do. Should he hang on to the old? Should he grab on to the new?” Repeat refrain.

I suppose chronic hunger can lead to hostility.

Glad you got your reservation, but for me, if no one answers a call or returns one, that tells me a lot about their standard of business, and I would not give them mine.
