I was planning a trip to Gunflint lake and looking into going to Magentic lake in early June. What is the fishing like on these lakes around that period.

Didn't fish Magnetic, but fished one short portage north in the PIne River in June in 2016, caught a fair number of small to medium pike just throwing either a plain old red and white Daredevil or a Johnson Silver Minnow
