Hey guys im thinking about a short fishing trip up the south kiwishiwi river, just wandering how tough will it be to go up the river against the current, also how's the fishing? Thanks

The current is not a problem except below rapids otherwise it’s smooth sailing. Target below all rapids and you should catch fish.

egknuti: "The current is not a problem except below rapids otherwise it’s smooth sailing. Target below all rapids and you should catch fish." thanks for the response. One more question, can you paddle thru the Rapids or do you have to portage around them?

There are a few you can run, but you might be better off portaging. This of course depends on water levels, most are pretty short.

Watch for the ice floes. They can do some serious damage.
