for my annual fall adventure i have chosen the tent site on the east loop of east bearskin campground.
never seeing this area in all my years of canoe travel, i am excited to see new waters.
many day trips are within easy paddle from my site, with my favorite superior town just down the road.
oh, this is such a great time of year! Happy Fall :)

Enjoy your trip! Lots to see and do out there on the Gunflint.

I had to switch to East Bearskin entry the year of the Pagami Creek fire and have done quite a few trips from out the Gunflint Trail. I'll be entering Cross Bay in a couple of weeks; getting ready and getting excited too.

If you haven't done so already? Check out This trip report .

It should give you a few ideas on day trips from East Bearskin.

Depending on the day light hours, Johnson Falls would be a great day trip.
Johnson Falls- Lower
Johnson Fall- Upper (Either climb the 6-8 ft rock or right where you choose to go to the lower falls, go left and work you way up to the upper falls.
