Is this a doable route? Base camping a few days on SAK and thinking of this as a day trip loop to Ogish.

i think it depends which way you attempt to get there. the portages will never be maintained by the USFS anymore, so if there is deadfall on the portages... welll... it is what it is. holt is a beautiful lake

Thanks for the guidance. I think I'll pass this trip. Looks like one may need to do this in the Spring when daylight hours are longer.
