Hi, I'm going out of Sawbill in a couple weeks and am wondering about the water levels. Any tips appreciated!

Last month, they were lower than normal. There were a few areas on the Pheobe River where we had to line the canoe through. It was nothing too difficult.

Sawbill Canoe Outfitters can give you information on your specific route.

I am going next weekend (14th) and can report back. Going up Sawbill to Cherokee then back down the east side.

Same trip planned later in the month. Curious to hear your report.

it was great. We didn't have any low water issues...but we only were on Sawbill, Alton, Kelso, Lujenida...hiked the portage to Zenith, too, but didn't canoe on it (looked fine).
