First trip - two scout groups - one with Agnes and one with Sarah - leaders goofed and they switched permits. Rangers happen to stop the group going to Agnes but with the Sarah permit and redirected them. They resumed trip to Agnes next day but clearly it is sometimes monitored. |

quote old_salt: "Yup, you've got to be heading toward Agnes. Expectation would be to get there on day 1 or 2. Once you get to Agnes, you can go anywhere in the Park." What Old Salt said. |

Reason I ask is that I wondered about this route, described elsewhere on this forum, except clockwise to avoid chances of being wind-bound on the last day: "If you're looking for seclusion and exceptional fishing, you might consider PP to Agnes via Meadows, up to Silence and then the small unnamed lakes to Reid, over to Woodside, Hurlburt, Trant and Kahshahpiwi, then down to Side, Point, Nest and out." Is the clockwise version allowed on an Agnes permit? Is this a doable 6 day/5 night route? Thanks! |
