http://www.geographynetwork.ca/website/obm/viewer.htm You can download contour lines, lake polygons, stream lines, and trail lines. You have to zoom in fairly far for some of the datasets (e.g., contour lines) to display and be available for download. But it's pretty user-friendly. With this data (and ArcMap) I was able to make a custom map of the Beaverhouse/Quetico/Cirrus area. |

Maybe we're just lucky that we have this type of stuff in MN http://www.mngeo.state.mn.us/chouse/wms/index.html http://www.mngeo.state.mn.us/chouse/wms/geo_image_server.html I've been poking around the OMNR website but so far haven't hit on anything like this. Thanks in advance for any suggestions in tracking down Quetico imagery. |

quote bstrege: "Edit - It appears that procedures and licenses have changed since I signed up. I'm not sure how to access the contour data anymore. However, a lot of data is still available to the public - Open Data " Thanks, I think this will help. I'll post more if I figure out how to use their WMS. |

Atlas of Canada You need to zoom in a lot for the topographic lines to show. Interestingly, some of the contours are in feet (50 foot intervals) and some are in meters. There is also free geographic data available at this site: Free data Atlas of Canada |
