Who would I rent a canoe from if I were to enter via Beaverhouse? Is there an outfitter in the area? I would be coming from Wisconsin, so Ely would be out of the way. Thanks!

I know there's one in Atikokan that rents gear. Canoe Canada is the name. There could very well be others, too, but that's the one I know of.

Heck, if you're in the area and need a canoe, just go buy a new Souris River from the factory in Atikokan. :)

Always a fan of Doug with Canadian Quetico Outfitters. They do all the northern entry points. He's a fantastic guy, rates were always very reasonable, does transport and shuttling, and knows the park like no other.

Give Moose a call at Morris Camp. I have used him many times for shuttles, overnight lodging and fine meals. I have not rented a canoe from him but he does rent Souris River canoes. Moose is a good guy, always on time and very accommodating.
