Does anyone know when the fall self registration begins. I am having trouble locating this info. We are looking at the first week of Oct.

I appreciate this information. I always struggle with the park entry point opening and closing dates as well as the times they are open during any given day. I hope the dates and times don't change, as it seems as they have in years past. Thanks

The price is like $5.00 cheaper during self registration time also at prairie Portage. $16.95 vs $21.95 I think.

How do you manage the conversion factors and make payment? Cash, check, card?

Call the office. I've heard you can even call them in advance and use a CV, but not an official or documented practice.
When I did it a few years ago, exchange rate was near parity so just used US.

I look in the newspaper before leaving to get the conversion rate and I pay in cash. It is 0.81 now.

Just got back from Quetico and self registered. The Quetico maintenance crew were there getting prairie Portage ready.

Calling is best but I think it varies by entry point, as does opening in spring, and subject to local weather. PP is I think usually open through third full week of September.
