I'm not sure about a weather radio.
Last month we were on Mack Lake and I tried out my AM/FM radio. There is an FM CBC station on the lower end of the dial (90-93). It would give a local weather forecast each hour that was very accurate.
I'm not sure what the radio stations would be like if you are not in the east side of Quetico, though.

My weather radio picks up the Environment Canada weather broadcasts out of Atikokan from much of the park--especially the north half. It also picks up the National Weather Service transmitters out of Ely, Grand Marais, and International Falls.

Does a weather radio work in Quetico? Does it pick up Canadian Weather Service (assuming they have one, LOL) or US? How accurate is it? Enough for us to forewarned?
